Now that Apple has ended speculation as to when it will hold its annual September event to unveil some of its newest products, it’s time to begin speculating as to just what Apple has in store for the next version of the iPhone.
And, apparently, it will be bigger than the iPhone X, and come it gold, too, if you what that color.
The Apple-specific blog 9to5Mac displayed photos of two versions of what it said will be called the iPhone Xs, and that the new phones will come with screens measuring 5.8 inches and 6.5 inches, respectively. Apple’s current top-of-the line iPhone, the iPhone X, has a 5.8-inch diagonal screen.
9to5Mac also said the iPhone Xs will be the first iPhone to come in a gold color option. Currently, the iPhone X is available in space gray and silver colors. The next version of the iPhone will also come with OLED screens, which are capable of displaying colors in a more-dynamic fashion that traditional LCD screens.
Apple didn’t respond to a request for comment about the new iPhones. The company’s iPhone-themed event is set for Sept. 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s Apple Park campus in Cupertino.
