Former San Jose Sharks star Joe Thornton has sold his Los Gatos mansion for $8.7 million. It was originally listed for $9.5 million.
After playing with the Sharks for 15 seasons and one season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Thornton is currently a center with the Florida Panthers.
The 6,422-square-foot five-bedroom, six-bathroom Tuscan-style home sits on 1.3 acres of land with breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The modern house blends indoor and outdoor living with airy ceilings, a loggia and an infinity pool. It also includes a 659-square-foot guest house, among many other amenities.
Monica Thomas and Tabea Thornton with Compass were the listing agents.
The future Hall of Famer is still widely loved and missed by Sharks fans. During Thornton’s 15 seasons, the Sharks went to the playoffs 13 times. They also reached the Western Conference finals four times and played in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2016.
