Jude Law’s people have declined to respond to reports that he’s secretly welcomed a seventh child — and his second with current wife, Phillipa Coan — after the couple were spotted over the weekend making their way through London’s Heathrow Airport, pushing two strollers, including one carrying a newborn.
While Page Six said Law isn’t confirming anything, the 50-year-old British actor has been open in the past about wanting lots of kids. He’s also joined a select number of other famous men who seem to love spreading their DNA around and who, in the case of Elon Musk, think they should be congratulated for helping to populate the planet.

But even if the Oscar nominee now has seven kids, that’s still a ways to go before he catches up with Musk when it comes to producing large numbers of children with different wives and girlfriends. The CEO of Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has fathered 10 children with three different women since the early 2000s.
But even that number pales in comparison to Nick Cannon. Since 2011, the actor, rapper and TV host has welcomed 12 children with six different women, including twins with Mariah Carey, according to People.
“Every day I just wake up excited as a father,” Cannon told People in May 2022. “I’m so excited about all my kids. Constantly, from every aspect of it. From them getting citizen of the month awards in the first grade to the birth of the new ones.”
Actors Eddie Murphy and Mel Gibson may have fewer children that Cannon, but they’re also famous for their reproductive prodigiousness. Murphy has fathered 10 children with five different women, while Mel Gibson has had nine children through two marriages and a relationship that became famously contentious.
Other men who’ve become known for known for liking to get women pregnant include Mick Jagger and Alec Baldwin. Mick Jagger is the father of eight children with five different women, including socialite Bianca Jagger and model Jerry Hall.
Baldwin also has eight children. After fathering daughter Ireland with his first wife Kim Basinger in the 1990s (she is now 27), Baldwin married Spanish-impersonating influencer Hilaria Baldwin in 2011 and they’ve become parents to seven young children whose lives Hilaria regularly documents on her Instagram account.
Like Jagger, Baldwin also hasn’t let age or other factors slow him down. Jagger was 73 when ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick gave birth to his eighth child, a son, in 2016. Meanwhile, Baldwin was 64 when he became the father to his seventh child under age 9 in September. The arrival of Baldwin’s fourth daughter also came as he’s been mired in criminal charges and the controversy surrounding his fatal 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his Western film “Rust.”
Back in July, Musk said that men like himself should be congratulated for helping to reverse declining fertility rates worldwide. Even as the world continues to add 1 billion to its population every 12 years, the average family had fewer than 3 children in 2021, a 50% drop from 1952, when the average family had five children, according to the World Economic Forum. Musk tweeted: “I hope you have big families and congrats to those who already do!”

Law began having children during his marriage to his first wife, actor and designer Sadie Frost, from 1997 to 2003. They share three children who are now in their 20s: Rafferty, 26, Iris, 22, and Rudy, 20.
Law’s marriage to Frost ended after “The Talented Mr. Ripley” star began a relationship with Sienna Miller, his co-star in the 2004 film, “Alfie.” He and Miller became engaged, but their romance ended in 2006 when it was learned that he’d had an affair with his children’s nanny. Law subsequently had a 13-year-old daughter, Sophia, with model Samantha Burke and a 7-year-old daughter, Ada, with singer Catherine Harding.
“The Pope” star married Coan in 2019. In 2020, he told The Telegraph that he loved being a father and having children of widely different ages. He also said he was open to having children with his new wife and expanding his family.
“Absolutely. I’m fortunate to be with someone where I’m having more fun than I’ve ever had in my life,” Law said. “so absolutely, why not (have another)? I’m very lucky to be involved with someone I’m madly in love with. So the idea of having more children would be just wonderful.”
