Ice-T has an idea to avert crisis.

The actor and rapper tweeted earlier this week that he almost took up arms against a person “creeping” around his home before realizing it was a delivery person dropping off a smiley Amazon package.

His simple idea for any futures misidentifications is for Amazon to outfit its contractors with uniforms or something else that will distinguish them as delivery persons.

“Message To Amazon: Now that you have regular people making your home deliveries.. Maybe they should wear a Vest with AMAZON DELIVERY on it….. I almost shot a MF creeping up to my crib last night…. Just sayin,” he tweeted.

Perhaps a neon vest, as suggested by one Twitter user, would do the job.

We’re glad to see that Ice-T didn’t escalate matters — and we’re equally glad to see that Amazon is taking him seriously.

The company, through its Amazon Help Twitter account, replied directly to Ice-T.

“Thanks for reaching out with your feedback! I’d like to escalate this to our Logistics Team for review; please leave us your details … and we’ll be in touch with you soon!”

Amazon’s Flex program contracts the delivery of packages to drivers who use their own unmarked cars.

Ice-T, responding to another tweet, said he didn’t place the responsibility on the delivery persons.

“No. They don’t wear ANY uniform,” he tweeted. “Just regular people workin.. I ain’t mad at them. Just sayin. That (expletive) ain’t safe.”
